Electrocardiograph Technician

Course     Objectives                 

The Objective of this course is to provide with the basic skills and concepts in the field of ECG or EKG. 

The intent of the program is to capacitate individuals to work with patients undergoing ECG tests, and be able to understand the anatomy of the heart, heart rhythms, causes for and treatments of different rhythms, and patient signs and symptoms associated with these rhythms.

Students will be able to perform ECG and other cardiovascular tests as well as pulmonary tests.

Admission Requirements

 

  • 18 years of age
  • Prerequisites: High School Diploma or GED Certificate.

Timeline: 80 clock hours (approximately 5 weeks).
